“With mainly clear skies, the day is expected to be hot and humid in Delhi,” said an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was expected to hover around 34 degrees.

The maximum humidity level would be 80 percent, comparatively lower than what the capital has seen in the last two days, the official said.

The women’s 29-km cycling race, running over the Noida Expressway, began at 10.30 a.m. while the men’s 40-km cycling is slated to start later in the afternoon. The event will witness a clash of the titans as reigning world champions from Australia and Canada would race for the top slot.
