New Delhi: The 19th Commonwealth Games here were officially declared closed by Prince Edwards at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here Thursday.
“On behalf of Her Majesty Queen Eizabeth II and the Commonwealth Games Federation, I declare the 19th Commonwealth Games closed,” Edwards said in brief remarks before a capacity crowd.
He called upon sportspersons of the Commonwealth to assemble in four years in Glasgow in Scotland for the 20th Commonwealth Games.
