Beijing: Another employee of a Foxconn Technology plant in China’s southern Shenzhen city fell to death Friday, months after a series of such deaths occurred at the company’s plants in the city, Xinhua reported.
The Shenzhen government has confirmed the incident. No further detail was immediately available.
Prior to this incident, 10 Foxconn workers had died after jumping off from the company’s buildings in Shenzhen.
The company, which supplies IT components to Sony, Apple and Nokia, offered a dramatic wage hike — nearly 70 percent — to some of its 400,000 assembly line workers in Shenzhen after the deaths.
