New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Wednesday told the Supreme Court that it was willing to file a status report on its investigations into the scandal involving spectrum allocation to mobile companies.
The investigating agency said the status report could be filed after every eight weeks till the filing of the charge-sheet.
The CBI sought the dismissal of a petition by the Centre for Public Interest Litigation, urging the court to monitor the probe, on the grounds that the petitioner relied upon confidential documents.
Critics say the scandal in 2008 had resulted in a notional loss of thousands of crores of rupees to the exchequer.
