New Delhi: At the invitation of Zalmai Rassoul, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, India’s External Affairs Minister, S M Krishna to begin his two day visit to Afghanistan from Saturday.
During the visit, Krishna will hold talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai on various bilateral, regional and international issues.
Krishna will also take up the issue of security of Indian diplomatic missions in Kabul and elsewhere besides the safety of over four thousand Indians working in Afghanistan.
The two sides will review implementation of projects worth 3 billion dollars being implemented with India’s assistance.
As a strategic partner of Afghanistan and a neighbor with civilizational and historical links spanning millennia, India stands steadfast with the Government and people of Afghanistan in their efforts to build a strong, peaceful, democratic, pluralistic and prosperous Afghanistan.
