Kuala Lumpur : An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 points on the Richter scale jolted the Indonesian island of Sumatra without causing any damage or loss, Indonesia’s Meteorology and Geophysics Agency reported on Tuesday. The agency said that the epicenter of the earthquake was 115 kilometers south of the coastal town of Banten, in Bengkulu province, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
No tsunami waves have been caused due to the earthquake.
