In the light of Swami Aseemanand’s confession of their involvement in many blasts mainly in Muslim dominated areas of India like two separate blasts in Malegaon, Samhjauta Express, Mecca Masjid and Ajmer dargah blasts, the demand to release innocent Muslims in the case is gathering momentum.

“Muslims and other secular people of Maharashtra have been saying it since two Bajrang Dal activists were found dead in an accidental blast in Nanded, a district in Maharashtra, on April 6th, 2006 and subsequent attempt of bomb throwing in the mosques of Jalna, Parbhani and Purna district of Maharashtra. Aslam Ghazi, Spokesperson of Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra said, “We have been saying it for long and now the world knows and acknowledge it.”

He also questioned the timing of the blasts and explores the political angle to it. He said, “These Sanghi terrorist did blasts at the time of elections to polarize the Indians on the communal line and the direct beneficiary is the BJP, like before Karnatka Assembly election.”

Farid Khan, Secretary of Qaumi Majlise Shoora, represented its president Abu Asim Azmi. He objected on the proximity of Col.Purohit, an accused in the bomb blast case, with the former Chief of ATS, Maharashtra, K.P.Raghuwanshi. He claimed, “K.P.Raguvanshi, former ATS Chief called Col. Purohit to train Maharashtra ATS officers, twice.”

Defining the term “Sanghi Terror”, Maulana Mehmood Daryabadi, Gen.Secretary, Ulema Council, said “We always maintained that Terrorism should not be related with religion and majority of Hindus do not approve of Sangh Parivar’s activities therefore we are saying it as Sanghi Terror and not Hindu terror.”

Referring to the apology and compensation to Dr.Hanif, by the Australian Government, Dr.Azimuddin, Movement of Human Welfare, demanded an apology from the government and compensation in proportion to their suffering.

NGO’s demanded the hearing of all the terror related cases in different fast-track courts. All the accused of Malegaon blasts 2006 and 2008 must be given bail or released immediately and Maharashtra Government should render apology and compensations and take actions against the officials who are responsible for the serious lapses in dealing with communally sensitive issues.
