Shimla: A cold wave continued to grip the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh Sunday with Keylong being the coldest with a minimum temperature of minus 15.8 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature in Keylong, 200 km from Manali, was also below the freezing point and settled at minus 3.1 degrees.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 5.7 degrees Celsius, while it was 1 degree Celsius at Bhuntar, 4.7 degrees at Dharamsala and minus 1 degree Celsius at Solan, a weather office release said.
The towns recorded the maximum temperature at 7 degrees, 18.4 degrees, 19.8 degrees and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Shimla recorded a minimum of 1.3 degrees Celsius, a dip of two notches from Saturday’s 3.2 degrees. However, the day temperature was quite pleasant at 13.2 degrees Celsius due to sunny conditions.
The Met office said the dry weather would continue Monday.
