2 Indian vessels anchor off Pakistan coast

By IANS,

Islamabad : Two Indian cargo vessels that were facing rough seas were permitted to anchor off the Pakistan coast, a media report said Monday.

The Indian vessels – Al Adam and Al Karimi – dropped anchor some 10 nautical miles off Gwadar, Dawn quoted sources as saying.

The vessels had sent a distress message Sunday to Pakistan Navy in Gwadar that they were finding it difficult to continue their journey to Dubai due to the rough seas. They sought permission to anchor in Pakistani territorial waters in the Arabian Sea.

The navy allowed the Indian boats to anchor in Pakistani waters.
