Kerala’s Aranmula constituency has most voters

    Thiruvananthapuram : The chief election commissioner’s office has listed Kerala’s Aranmula constituency in Pathanamathitta district as the only seat in the state that has over two lakh voters at 203,411. Also, female voters outnumber the male voters in 127 of the 140 assembly seats.

    Kerala will go to polls April 13 in a single phase to all the 140 assembly seats.

    The constituency that has the second highest number of voters is Sultan Battery in Wayanad district with over 196,078 voters, followed by Kunnathur in Kollam district with over 190,322 voters.

    The total number of voters in the state are 22,878,767 voters, comprising of 11,919,652 females and 10,959,115 males.

    Kozhikode South constituency has the least number of voters with 130,254, followed by Ernakulam with 133,398 and Tanur in Malappuram district with 136,183 voters respectively.

    The Aranmula constituency has 109,932 female and 93,479 male voters. It has the highest number of female voters in the state, followed by Adoor with 102,336 and Manalur with 102,336 females.

    There are 20,758 polling booths in the state. Peerumedu leads the constituencies with 195 booths.
