Jharkhand expects Rs.2,086 crore royalty from mining

Ranchi: Jharkhand is expected to collect Rs.2,086 crore as royalty from mining and sale of minerals in the current financial year, said the state’s economic survey report released here Monday.

Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Hemant Soren presented the economic survey of the 2010-2011 in the state assembly.

The report said: “The state set a target of Rs.2,086 crore in the current financial year. By Dec 10, the royalty collection was Rs.1281.6 crore.”

In 2009-10, the royalty collection was Rs.1,730.3 crore.
