Nearly 1,000 children from across the country will join the three-day national convention Nov 20-22 in Bhubaneswar,to raise their voices against child labour, CACL national convenor Ranjan Mohanty told IANS.

“Child labour is not just a welfare issue but a continuing social problem. It is a violation of human rights that stems from the prevailing inequalities and exploitative socio-economic structure in the country,” he said.

“We will raise the slogan ‘Hum Bachche Saath Saath. Bal Mazdoori Ke Khilaf’ (Children together against child labour) at the gathering.”

At the conference, children will also form a national platform for ‘Children against Child Labour,’ said Mohanty.
