In a reference to the presence of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) forces in Bahrain, Ahmadinejad said foreign countries should take their forces out of Bahrain.

Ahmadinejad, while talking to reporters, also asked the Bahraini government to listen to the voice and demands of its people.

He said that Iran condemns the brutal crackdowns on the people in the Middle East and asks the regional governments to carry out reforms to respect people’s demands.

Bahrain has been witnessing a series of protests organised by opposition Shia parties, which led to violent clashes with security forces.
