Houston (US) : India’s Somdev Devvarman entered the second round of $442,500 US Men’s Clay Court Championships with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over American Robert Kendrick.
The 71-ranked Indian next plays World No.27 and third seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain for a place in the quarterfinals.
The two players will be meeting for the first time.
