The CBI will interrogate Swapan Kumar Mitra and Pradip Kumar, officers in charge of Karaya and Entali police stations, and sub inspectors Pulak Dutta and Jayanta Mukherkjee, CBI sources said.

After their marriage, Rizwanur and his wife Priyanka Todi had feared attacks by thugs and had sought police protection.

On Sep 21, Rizwanur was found dead near a railway track. His brother Rukbanur Ranhman told the police that he believed Rizwanur was murdered. Priyanka is the daughter of industrialist Ashok Todi.

Todi had allegedly threatened his son-in-law with dire consequences and put pressure on him through the police to annul the marriage.
