New Delhi : IT giant Cisco Inc will triple its headcount in India from the current 3,200 in the next three years, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer John Chambers said here Monday.
“We are planning to increase our headcount in India to 10,000 by 2010,” Chambers told reporters on the sidelines of a summit here.
On being asked about the $1.16 billion investment in the country over 2-3 years that he had announced in 2005, Chambers said: “We are on track.”
The Cisco chief is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram later Monday evening.
