New Delhi: The Supreme Court Thursday indicated that it may refer to a larger bench Sikkim High Court Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran’s plea questioning the scope of inquiry by the Rajya Sabha-appointed Judges Inquiry Committee (JIC) probing charges of misconduct against him.Justice Dinakaran has asked whether the JIC could look into charges that did not come within the ambit of his official duties.
The petitioner is facing charges of corruption, land grabbing, possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and misconduct.
