“Presently, there is a civil-war like situation in Pakistan as President General Pervez Musharraf has failed to rein in terrorists. India should display better diplomatic skills now and work for an early end to emergency rule there, and restoration of democracy as well,” Singh told reporters at the Raipur airport.

Singh reached Chhattisgarh Monday afternoon to address a farmers’ rally in Kanker district and also to attend concluding function, at the Science College ground in the capital, marking the state’s seventh foundation anniversary.

Singh said that Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) was also training United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) cadres in Bangladesh.
