Abu Dhabi : UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held a meeting with President Dr Thomas Boni Yayi of Benin, who is currently on a private visit to the UAE.
Sheikh Hamdan welcomed Dr Yayi Monday, expressing the hope that his visit would contribute in further boosting ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
He also expressed UAE’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Benin in commercial, economic, tourism and telecommunications fields.
Dr Yayi extended his greetings to President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also praised the progress attained by the UAE in all fields.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials and Benin Ambassador Isa Musa Tore.
Sheikh Hamdan hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the President of Benin and his accompanying delegation.
