DMK boycotts assembly over seating arrangement

Chennai : Tamil Nadu’s major opposition party DMK, demanding a change in seating arrangement inside the assembly, boycotted the house proceedings Monday.

The DMK has been demanding that their members be allowed to sit in one block instead of being spread out.

According to DMK, they would continue to boycott the house till their seating demand is met by the speaker.

In the 234-member house, the DMK has 23 legislators.
