Mohali : Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has added another record to his kitty. When he took guard at the second One-Day International here Wednesday, it was his 404th match appearance in a career spanning 18 years, making him the most capped ODI player in the world.
With his appearance at Mohali, Sachin moved ahead of Jayasuriya, who has played 403 matches, in holding the record for having played the most ODIs.
Tendulkar already holds the record of having scored the highest number of ODI runs – over 15,700 runs, and the highest number of ODI centuries – 41.
