Islamabad : Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has sought a feasibility study for installation of cost-effective solar-powered tubewells to enhance agricultural productivity in the country.
Gilani discussed the matter with Federal Minister Israrullh Zehri who called on him at his official residence, Daily Times reported Sunday.
The prime minister has ordered a study in this regard aimed at coping with the power crisis across the agriculture belt.
He also assured help to Zehri, who belongs to Balochistan, in reducing unemployment in the province.
