New Delhi : Talks between Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who is the government mediator, and a three-member civil society team to end Anna Hazare’s eight-day-old fast for a stronger Lokapal bill began Tuesday evening, sources said.
The talks are being held at Mukherjee’s North Block office.
The civil society team comprises Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal — both members of the joint drafting committee for the Lokpal bill — and former top cop Kiran Bedi.
Though the talks were scheduled to begin at 6.30 p.m., they got delayed, the sources added.
