New Delhi : The National Social Security Fund for unorganized sector workers has been constituted, Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge said Wednesday.
“The fund will support schemes for weavers, toddy tappers, rickshaw pullers, beedi workers etc,” he told the Rajya Sabha in a statement. The minister said the initial allocation of the Fund was Rs.1,000 crore.
In addition, a provision of Rs.500 crore has been made for transfer to the National Social Security Fund, he said.
