Islamabad : A joint security force comprising officers from the Federal Investigative Agency (FIA), Coast Guards and the Frontier Constabulary will check the movement of terrorists in northwest Pakistan, a media report said.
The decision was taken at a meeting in Karachi Saturday chaired by Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the official APP news agency reported. Senior officials of the three security agencies also participated.
The minister said the force which will operate on the Sindh-Balochistan border will check inter-provincial gun-running, movement of terrorists and smuggling of fuel from Iran.
