Beijing : China’s industry and commerce watchdog has shut down 1,200 websites for selling fake goods, an official said.
The state administration for industry and commerce said authorities checked a total of 504,728 websites since November last year, and till June shut down 1,199 websites that violated trademark laws, the China Daily reported.
A total of 38,446 products with fraudulent trademarks were deleted from internet, the official said.
The administration said it will continue to crack down on online sales of products that violate trademark laws.
