“As part of the three-year agreement signed by Infosys’ vice president for education & research Srikantan Moorthy and the varsity’s School of Information Systems dean Steven Miller, both will also jointly conduct seminars and tutorials and collaborate on research projects of mutual interest,” the company said in a statement.

Hoping that the partnership would open up news areas of cooperation between the IT industry and academia, Moorthy said the company was committed to provide world class training, education and research facilities to all its employees.

“The collaboration with Singapore Management University is a step in strengthening our efforts in this direction,” Moorthy noted.

The global software major and the varsity’s School of Information Systems have completed a series of joint projects over the last five years to develop content for education and training programmes.

“The new partnership will enable us to train working professionals and students on applying IT in business settings and about the management aspects of using IT to create business value,” Miller pointed out.
