Addressing the gathering, Er Mohammad Saleem, National Secretary of Jamaat, termed it as a tragedy that in a democratic country and in the regime of a Gandhian chief minister people’s demand and protest of six months have been ignored and wine shops are open. He said: “Jamaat has always demanded complete ban on wine in the state and we reiterate our demand. We will not agree on anything less than complete ban.”
