New Delhi : The group of ministers (GoM) on corruption Saturday asked the law ministry to formulate proposals on constitutional and statutory amendments required for introducing reforms facilitating state funding of political parties in elections, a government release said.
The GoM, headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, was constituted by the government in January this year to consider measures to tackle corruption.
Earlier, the GoM had asked the law ministry Sep 6 to report progress in the consultative process already initiated by it on the issue.
The government has accepted the recommendations of the GoM on fast tracking cases related to corruption against public servants.
