Tata Consultancy Services recruits 121 students of AMU

Aligarh: The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has recruited a record number of 121 students of B.Tech, B.E and MCA of the Aligarh Muslim University. TCS visited AMU campus as part of its campus recruitment drive.

The placement process was completed through two stages of recruitment carried during three days. The process began with an online test conducted by the technical team from TCS. A total of 165 students were shortlisted for the interview. The interview comprised of two rounds, Technical and HR.

The “pre-placement talk” was held at the Assembly Hall, Zakair Husain College of Engineering & Technology. The event was conducted by Mr. Zakir Zafar. It began with a presentation of Zakir Hussain College of Engineering & Technology, given by Mr. Md. Shibli which was followed by a brief presentation by Mr. Narendra Chandel from TCS. It covered details of the Tata Group with focus on the Tata Consultancy Services and its chief domains.

Earlier in the day, the TCS panel received a very warm and cordial reception from the Training & Placement Officer, Dr. (Capt.) Fareed Mahdi. The TCS panel received full cooperation from Mr. Arsalan Parvez, Mr. Abdul Aziz, Mr. Hammad Arif and Ms. Vidushi Singh from “@Ingenious-Solutions”, a student group working under the guidance of the Training & Placement Office (TPO). The TCS team was immensely impressed by the quality of students appearing for the interview.

Prof. Ekram Husain, Principal, ZHCET thanked the TCS team for their visit and invited them for the next placement season in near future. Prof. S. Mahdi A. Rizvi, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology also thanked TCS for their visit and emphasized on building a good relation with TCS. He hoped that this relationship will be strengthened further in the coming years.

The excellent record of campus selection was a result of the diligent and continued efforts of Dr. (Capt.) Fareed Mahdi, Training & Placement Officer under the overall guidance of Prof. Ekram Husain, Principal Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology, said Zeeshan Ahmad, Assistant Public Relations Officer, AMU.
