Ranchi : Five landmines kept in two sacks were recovered from Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district Friday, police said.
According to police, the two sacks were found by villagers on a farm at Badgao village of Ramgarh, around 60 km from Ranchi. They informed police.
A bomb disposal squad was sent to the farm and found five landmines — four landmines of five kg each and one weighing 10 kg — in the sacks. The landmines were defused by the squad.
Police suspect that the Maoists might have kept the landmines.
