Ludhiana : A fire in a storehouse in this industrial city of Punjab has burnt down chocolates worth nearly Rs.5 million.
Manish Mittal, the owner of the storehouse in Barewal area, told reporters here Sunday that stocks of Cadbury chocolates worth Rs.5 million were lost in the fire that engulfed his stocks Saturday night.
The fire was perhaps caused by a short circuit in the air-conditioning unit of the storehouse.
Mittal said fresh chocolate stocks worth Rs.1.5 million, which had arrived Saturday, got burnt with the earlier stocks worth about Rs.3.5 million.
