Islamabad : The Pakistani government spent over Rs.3 billion on advertisments in various newspapers and periodicals from July to November, a minister said.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said Thursday that Rs.3,092,043,836 has been paid to various newspapers and periodicals as advertisement charges, Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
She said said the payment of advertisement bills are made by the sponsoring department through their appointed advertising agencies. The advertisement agencies are required to arrange the payments to the newspapers within 90 days of the publication of an advertisement, she added.
