Baghdad : Six policemen were shot dead at a checkpost in western Iraq Sunday, Xinhua reported.
The gunmen fled from the scene after the attack in Karma city of Anbar province, police said. Two others were injured.
The province has seen an increase in violence after the US troops left the country earlier this month.
