He told reporters that issuance of another resolution “would be contrary to the process of positive and constructive cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)”.

“The recent report by (IAEA Director General Mohammad) El Baradei proved that sending Iran’s nuclear case to the United Nations Security Council had no legal basis, therefore, the influential states would better adopt a logical approach and support Iran-IAEA cooperation,” Hosseini reiterated.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had recently sent a letter to his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, saying “following US policies is fruitless”.

“President Ahmadinejad, in his letter, has also called on the French nation to support the process of cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),” he said.

Prospects of Tehran-Paris relations were another point of the letter to Sarkozy, Hosseini said, adding that President Ahmadinejad also reiterated that harsh stands and threats would have no impact on the process of decision-making by Tehran.
