West Bengal celebrates Eid Miladun-Nabi

Kolkata: The holy festival of Muslims, Eid-e-Miladunnabi was celebrated in West Bengal on Sunday with religious moods and due solemnity commemorating the birth and demise of Great Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on this day in the month of Rabiul Awal 1,441 years ago.

Religious and socio-cultural organisations in Kolkata beside the several districts have observed the day through various programmes, including discussions, procession, exhibition and blood donation camps, highlighting the significance of this day.



The largest procession has been held where more than 100 clubs, madrasa, NGO participated. More than five thousand people had taken part in the procession which started beside the CPIM head quarters Ripon Street and finally finished at Park Circus Maidan.
