The ground is best remembered for Anil Kumble’s record ten for 74 against Pakistan in 1998-99. It was only the second time in Test history any bowler had taken 10 wickets in an innings. The first was England’s Jim Laker against Australia in 1956.

Kumble will now lead India for the first time in Test cricket against Pakistan at the same ground where he created history.
