New Delhi : Sentencing for those convicted in the Uphaar fire case is likely to be read out on Friday, a Delhi court announced.
Arguments over the quantum of sentencing would continue Thursday, Additional Sessions Judge Mamta Sehgal said.
The sentencing was originally scheduled Wednesday but is now likely to be postponed to Friday. Twelve people, including real estate barons Sushil and Gopal Ansal, were convicted in the case Tuesday. The fire in the South Delhi cinema hall on June 13, 1997 had killed 59 people.
