Tunis : Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan led the UAE delegation to attend the “Friends of Syria” conference that started here Friday.Representatives of over 60 Arab, Islamic and western countries as well as international organisations attended the international gathering on Syria.
The meeting came against the backdrop of a surge in Syrian government attacks on the city of Homs and mounting world outrage over violence that has killed thousands of people during the uprising.
