Abu Dhabi : Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who is currently on a visit to Turkey, Tuesday met Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan .
Sheikh Mohammed, who is also the deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, spoke with Erdogan in Ankara about the latest developments in the region, especially in Syria.
Erdogan congratulated the prince on the progress made by the UAE in all sectors.
Sheikh Mohammed also met Turkish President Abdullah Gul to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
The Turkish president later hosted a state banquet in honour of Sheikh Mohammed.
