Bhubaneswar : Authorities in Odisha Saturday initiated action against at least 17 doctors for using unfair means during the post graduate medical entrance test held in the state in January, a senior state health official said.
While some of them were caught with mobile phones, others were found exchanging answers during the examination held at Bhubaneswar Jan 22.
“They will not be allowed to sit for the same examination for the next three years. Besides, authorities have initiated departmental proceedings against six of them who were in-service doctors,” the official told IANS.
The government initiated the action on the basis of recommendations made by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) which conducted the examination.
