New Delhi : In a breather for Maharashtra Congress leader Kripashankar Singh the Supreme Court Tuesday stayed a Bombay High Court order attaching movable and immovable properties belonging to him and his family members.
An apex court bench headed by Justice H.L. Dattu, however directed Kripashankar Singh and his family members to file an affidavit stating that they would not in any way transfer or deal with the properties that were attached by the high court order.
The court gave Kripashankar Singh three days time to file an affidavit before it.
The court retained the high court direction asking Mumbai Police Commissioner Anup Patnaik to carry out independent investigation into the allegations of Kripashankar Singh owning assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
