The morgue in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) now has room only for 10 bodies, the Dawn reported Saturday.

The hospital submitted the Rs.20 million plan to the government last year for expanding the morgue’s capacity to 48 bodies.

In July 2010, its morgue fell woefully short when it received bodies of the 152 victims of an AirBlue crash.

“We had such a big disaster at our hands that we had to shut down our Out-Patients operations that day,” an official said.
