New Delhi : The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Sunday organised a Lok Adalat (People’s Court), where 3,092 out of 3,833 cases were settled.
A DLSA spokesperson said that pending cases related to dud cheques, civil, electricity, labour, criminal, compoundable offences, recovery matters were taken up in the Lok Adalat.
“A total of 3,092 cases out of 3,833 cases were disposed off,” said the official. He added: “Fifty-six cases pertaining to motor accident claims were disposed off in which the compensation amount of Rs.88,00,000 was awarded.”
He said that 298 criminal cases out of 528 cases were also disposed off.
The Lok Adalat was held in all six district court complexes including Patiala House, Tis Hazari and Saket.
