Pakistan Railways’ top official arrested

Islamabad : The Pakistan Railways’ General Manager has been arrested by the country’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) here over embezzlement and corruption charges, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to NAB sources, Saeed Akhtar was arrested in Islamabad and was being taken to Lahore city. He was summoned to the NAB office where he was taken into custody.

Akhtar has been the General Manager for Pakistan Railways thrice.
