Opposition demands dismissal of Jharkhand government

Ranchi : The main opposition party of Jharkhand, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Saturday demanded the dismissal of Madhu Koda government and submitted a 34-page ‘charge sheet’ to Governor Syed Sibte Razi.

Former chief minister Arjun Munda and the state BJP president P.N. Singh led the delegation to the governor.

“We have submitted a charge sheet to the governor and demanded the dismissal of the government. Fresh mandate should be taken to run the government in the state,” said Munda.

“Koda has failed on every front and corruption is at its peak. The condition of roads and electricity is worsening day by day and no one is safe. Common man, businessmen and politicians are killed on regular basis and ministers are involved in plundering the state.”

The BJP charge sheet has raised 229 points and gives information on all 12 ministers including Chief Minister Madhu Koda and how their respective departments have failed to perform in the last one year.

After submitting the charge sheet, Munda said: “Our leaders will take the charge sheet to the people of the state and inform them how Koda has betrayed them on every front.”

“There are many departments where not a single penny has been spent on the development of the state in the current financial year. Jharkhand has spent only eight percent of the total budgetary allocation and the fresh budget will be presented in three months.”

“How will the government spend 90 percent of the budget allocation in just three months? This will only promote corruption in the state,” Munda said.
