Beijing: At least seven workers drowned in a flooded coal mine Wednesday in northeast China, authorities said.
The flooding at Junyuan No. 2 coal mine in Heilongjiang province happened around 7 a.m.
Eleven others still remained trapped, Xinhua reported. Twenty-eight miners were working underground, of whom 10 managed to escape.
