Will implement Sachar, Mishra recommendations in UP: Akhilesh

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav while speaking at a function on Saturday announced to implement recommendations of Sachar Committee and Ranganath Mishra commission reports in UP. Akhilesh also added that if there is a need he will even
constitute a committee to suggest ways for implementing their recommendations.

Akhilesh was speaking at the release of annual issue of Hindi fortnightly magazine Swach Sandesh at Sant Gadge auditorium in Lucknow on Saturday.

Additional Advocate General Zafaryab Jilani who organised the programme presented an overview of situation of Muslims in the state. On this Akhilesh Yadav promised to sincerely take steps for the upliftment of the community. “State government is sensitive about the Muslim issues. We are aware that they are backward. We will implement the recommendations of Sachar Committee and Rangnath Mishra commission at state level. Even a committee can be formed which will guide us in implementing them,” he remarked.

Akhilesh also announced that soon recruitment will be done for Urdu teachers and translators. “We have done it in the past also,” he said.

He also announced that state government will provide Rs 30000 to every Muslim girl who has cleared Class X examination. He also promised that power situation will be improved during Ramzan month.

On the occasion Qamar Alam was felicitated for social service, Waseem Akhter for higher education, Qutubullah for journalism, Rizwan Ahmed IPS for police administration and Nadeem Tareen for primary and secondary education.

Later CM Akhilesh Yadav also released the poetry book Akhiri Hikayat written by retired IAS Anees Ansari. On the occasion Akhilesh also announced that soon the name of Kanshiram Urdu Arbi Farsi University will be changed. “It will be named after someone who is an authority on

Urdu and Persian,” he said. Anees Ansari is presently the VC of the university. State government has shortlisted name of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti for renaming the university. State governor Uttrakhand Aziz Qureshi, State governor Chattisgarh Shekhar Dutta, cabinet minister Azam Khan, Ahmed Hasan, Ambika Choudhary, Abhishek Mishra were also present on the occasion.
