Abu Dhabi : Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has distributed 10,000 tissue culture date palm seedlings to farmers across the country.
The seedlings are of the best date varieties and were produced at the Date Palm Research and Development Unit of the UAE University in Al Ain.
The date palm tree plays a major role in the country’s food security, Sheikh Mohammed said.
