New Delhi : The health of Team Anna members, on an indefinite fast against corruption, deteriorated on the second day of their agitation Thursday with their blood sugar levels dipping, said a statement from the India Against Corruption.
Meanwhile, 60-year-old Harilal, who was fasting in support, was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital after he complained of chest pain.
“The health of Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai has deteriorated further. Arvind Kejriwal’s blood sugar dipped to 96, while Manish Sisodia’s to 54 and Gopal Rai’s to 75,” said an IAC statement. The normal blood sugar level ranges from 70-140 milligrammes per deciliter.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal had gone to Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr city appear before a court which had sent a notice to him on a complaint by resident, Jitendra Sindhu, seeking his prosecution for his alleged offensive remarks against MPs.
“Today (Thursday) I was asked to come to Bulandshahr court which I did. But the court had already extended the date to July 28. As it will be fourth day of my ‘anshan’ (fast), so I am sending them a written reply,” he said in the statement.
